Pulled from “Eye Guy Crusoe” the 8th of the original Digital Sketchbook, “Crete Encounter” was found lurking in the background. At first I thought it was going to be a shipwreck but and zooming in I found that it wanted to be a submarine instead. Until this piece I always painted water on the surface level. I remember having a lot fun with this one. I imagined a cat and mouse game between two subs. As I was painting I put myself in the situation. I decided this underwater war dance should take place near the Island of Crete in the Mediterranean. I used a couple of my own favorite textures. A water drop texture and a metal texture. Who will win this epic fight? That is up to your imagination. I hope you enjoyed this post. Below are the previous three post of the original digital sketchbook and some other post you might like.
