Aaarrrrrrrrr! Going into the photoshoot last week, I thought I would get 15 good pictures. That is typical for me and action photography. I’ve done mostly landscape and long exposure photography.
We had the issue of dynamic lighting conditions. I knew this going in. I’ve taken a lot of pictures of sunsets and storms. As far as the weather, I felt we had the home team advantage. However, I had three major concerns.
I never done a portrait at sunset.
I have only ever done one photoshoot with a model.
And I decided shot in a lower ISO than I was use to for pitch black photography.
But in the days leading up to the shoot. I took a crash course in settings. I had a little bit of time to practiced. Though not as much as I would have liked. I also went to back button focus. Ten out of Ten would recommend.
The the shoot wasn’t smooth sailing, though.
That is a tale for another time.
