We all call it AI slop and laugh.
But then people hand their kids tablets with Ads that condition them to like the slop. Like imprinting on baby birds. Adults can see the uncanny valley. But if a youngster is looking at a device all day it will not be uncanny to them. The strange speaking pattern. The strange jaw movement. All will seem normal to the new generation and the way people actually talk will be uncanny.
Countries like Demark and China have banned AI in education.
Many countries restrict access to the internet from minors.
Almost 40% of fourth graders cannot read.
25% of kids going into high school cannot read at an effective level.
This presents a problem not only for the future generations of America. But, also our A.I. platforms.
The Tech Bros cannot get past the uncanny valley. But they can imprint your baby birds.
But that presents a problem too. AI cannot train on AI. In order to survive they need smart people.
It is like HG Wells “Time Machine” and Orwell’s “84” had a baby.
Unless we fix our education system, we are in Big Trouble. And parents have a tough choice to make. Teach your children to be human or put them into a systems that turn them into empty machines. We don’t have much time to correct the ship.
