This go round we had to correct our proportions and really got technical with the rulers. This is why it is important to get right before you start painting the details. Fortunately, working digitally is forgiving in that you can lasso and stitch it back together later. In this session doubts started to creep into my mind as I entered that muddy period of Art. The trick to painting good portraits is that you have to get the eyes correct.. and the nose.. and lips… eyebrows too.. and the rest of the face.
