Royal Lament

“Royal Lament” is one of my favorite photo bashings. It has a dark history, however. A major point of interest in my life is End Time Prophecy and physic history. Along with the occult. Don’t worry, I am not going to get all, “woo” and have some doomsday call to action at the End of this post. Other than ordering prints and hitting that amazing subscription button.

It started with a dream. As a lot of my work does. I was on the shores of Sudan looking out onto the Red Sea. I was suddenly blinded by a white flash. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust. When they finally did, I seen the distinct shape of a hydrogen bomb cloud and within a vision of the Kaaba from Mecca and clock faces filled the sky. I remember being filled with anguish and sorrow. The next day I went into my photography folders and recreated as best I could a representation of my dream.

Before I write further, I have to clarify I do not cheer of advocate the destruction of any population or peoples. I understand the undertones of this post could appear at the service to have fanatical evangelical representation but a assure you it does not. It was just a dream.

Now this dream just did not manifest it’self out of the blue. I am not claiming I had a prophecy of the event. Around the time I had been studying an interruption of Revelation 17-18 that connected Mecca to Mystery Babylon. The theory is coming from verse 2 “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” Some people have made the connection that the wine of her fornication is Saudi oil. I feel that this interruption is a bit of a stretch. Any nation can be injected to represent Mystery Babylon. I have heard Rome, Russia and even America. Connect enough dots with this one and you can make any nation the wicked city. Maybe we all are. Needless to say though, the idea had founds it’s way into my subconscious and was vivid enough for me to be compelled to make this work.
